About Us

Home Page   |    F.A.Q.'s

Our shop is just off the High Street in Church Lane in Barnstaple. That's the really old bit next to the almshouses and the Old School Coffee House. We're open from 9:00 to 5:00 Monday to Saturday. We don't open on Sunday because we have a life.
We sell a wide range of comics from the usual Marvel & D.C. to indy and small press. We could list a load of titles and/or publishers but that would be boring - we do most things you could want and if we haven't got it we'll try to order it for you as long as it's still available (comics are periodicals you know!). Most graphic novels are easily obtainable.
We also have back issues and magazines and books on comics related themes and we do quite a bit of manga (japanese comics). A selection of action figures and models, trading cards (US sports & non-sport) and t-shirts make up the rest of the shop.
Standing orders are also available for lovely people who can remember to come in and collect them on a regular basis.

Well, there's still the rest of this page to fill and I can't think what else you'd need to know so here's some of the things we like to read...

Sock Monkey by Tony Millionaire - Vol. 2 just in. Described as 'horrific' by Graham and 'truly disturbing' by Sue. Essential existential reading.

Voice in the Fire by Alan Moore HC - actually a novel, set in Northampton through the ages. Worth the struggle reading that stone age language in the first chapter.

Pogostick #2 by Al Columbia & Ethan Persoff - Sue's fave of the moment. Hilariously cruel, the best kind of humour.

JSA - current run by Geoff Johns - just a cracking good read!

The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and other stories by Tim Burton - a little goth number with some lovely sets of little figures available to accompany it that you can marvel at or stick on your computer or something.
